Secure Connection

If you want to know whether it is safe to visit a specific website, you can view security information for that website. Chrome alerts you if a site is insecure or not private. To do this, open a webpage in Chrome.

If you want to check a website’s security, click on the security status symbol to the left of the web address:
Lock “Secure”

These symbols indicate how safe it is to visit and use a website. They show whether a website has an SSL security certificate, whether Chrome considers this certificate trustworthy, and whether Chrome could establish a private connection to the website. SSL stands for “Secure Sockets Layer” and is the standard technology for securing internet connections and protecting sensitive data transmitted between two systems.
