Organifer Leaf Insects Capsules provide an indirect and preventive plant-strengthening effect against pressure from unwanted leaf insects, including aphids, mealybugs, spider mites, whiteflies, thrips, Colorado potato beetles, caterpillars and other sucking or chewing insects.
The capsules are placed directly in the soil near the plant roots. Their ingredients are gradually released into the root zone, where they support the plant’s natural restorative capacity and resilience.
A healthy and resilient plant is better balanced and therefore less likely to suffer heavily from unwanted leaf insects. In this way, Organifer Leaf Insects Capsules help support the plant naturally without the need to spray the leaves.
The capsules contain a concentrated botanical extract of garlic (Allium sativum) in a plant-based oil carrier. Each capsule contains a 100:1 concentrated botanical extract, equivalent to approximately 1500 mg of plant material.
The capsules are particularly easy to use for houseplants, potted plants, ornamental plants, vegetable gardens, terraces, balconies and greenhouses.

Application
Organifer Leaf Insects Capsules can be used throughout the growing season.
They can be applied preventively when plants begin active growth, especially where problems with leaf insects have occurred previously.
They can also be used when the plant is already experiencing pressure from unwanted insects.
The effect lasts for approximately 4 weeks. Repeat the treatment every four weeks when necessary.
Dosage
Dosage for potted plants
Make a small hole approximately 5 cm deep in the soil close to the roots of the plant.
Insert the capsule into the hole, add some water and close the hole properly with potting soil.
Use: 1 capsule per 5 litres of pot volume
Examples:
-
5 litre pot: 1 capsule
-
10 litre pot: 2 capsules
-
20 litre pot: 4 capsules
-
30 litre pot: 6 capsules
Repeat after approximately 4 weeks if necessary.
Dosage for garden plants
Make a hole approximately 10 cm deep close to the root zone.
Insert the recommended number of capsules, add some water and close the hole properly with soil.
For larger plants, spread the capsules around the root zone rather than placing them all in one location. Where possible, the capsules can be distributed approximately 25 cm apart around the plant.
Because the current capsules are smaller than the previous version, the recommended garden dosage is approximately double the previous number of capsules.
Plant height / Number of capsules:
-
50 cm – 2 capsules
-
100 cm – 4 capsules
-
150 cm – 6 capsules
-
200 cm – 8 capsules
-
250 cm – 10 capsules
Repeat the treatment after approximately 4 weeks when necessary.
Harmful Leaf Insects
The following are some of the most common insects that can place plants under stress.
Aphids
Aphids are small sap-feeding insects that are often found on young shoots and leaves. Large populations can weaken the plant, disturb growth and cause leaf deformation. Aphids can also produce honeydew, on which sooty mould may develop.
Whiteflies
Whiteflies and their larvae usually feed on the underside of leaves. Heavy infestations can weaken plants and lead to sticky honeydew deposits and subsequent sooty mould.
Spider Mites
Spider mites feed on plant cells and can cause pale spots, discolouration and drying of the leaves. Severe infestations can considerably weaken the plant.
Mealybugs
Mealybugs are sap-feeding insects that often collect around leaf joints, stems and other protected parts of the plant. Heavy infestations can weaken growth and lead to sticky honeydew deposits.
Thrips
Thrips feed on plant cells and can cause silvery or pale markings, distorted growth and damage to leaves and flowers.
Caterpillars
Caterpillar damage is usually recognised by holes in leaves, eaten edges and other visible feeding damage. Depending on the species, caterpillars may occur at different times throughout the growing season.
Colorado Potato Beetles
Both adult beetles and larvae can cause substantial feeding damage to leaves, particularly on potato plants and related crops.
Composition
Plant-based oil with concentrated botanical extract (Allium sativum) 100:1, equivalent to 1500 mg plant material per capsule.
