TRUSTED PERFORMANCE

Trusted by professionals & gardeners

For healthy plant growth, soil improvement, and optimal moisture regulation

Sheep Wool Pellets Organic Fertiliser is a high-quality, 100% natural fertiliser made from pure, shorn sheep wool. This fully organic NK fertiliser (10.5 + 5.3) is exceptionally rich in organically bound nitrogen – ideal for vigorous crops in the vegetable garden, ornamental garden, orchard, or container cultivation. The nutrients are released gradually over a period of 8 to 10 months, providing plants with a long-lasting supply of essential nutrients without the risk of scorching or leaching. Thanks to the fibre-rich wool structure, the pellets absorb up to three times their weight in water. This prevents dehydration, improves soil structure, and activates soil life. The wool swells, creating airy pores in the soil and stimulating root development. This also makes the fertiliser an excellent soil improver – perfectly suited to organic cultivation and ecological gardening. The pellets are entirely free from artificial fertilisers, compost residues, pesticides, or synthetic additives. They are organically certified and listed by FiBL for controlled organic farming.

For vigorous crops that require prolonged nitrogen release

The high nitrogen content (10.5%) is exceptional for a purely natural fertiliser and essential for the formation of chlorophyll, proteins, and cell structures. The slow release promotes consistent growth and vitality. The fertiliser is particularly well suited to nitrogen-demanding crops such as cabbages, leeks, lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes, fruit trees, and flowering ornamental plants. In addition, the wool fibre contributes to a healthy soil structure, stimulates microbial activity, and enhances nutrient uptake – a natural support for both plant and soil.

100% natural origin

The pellets are produced from 100% shorn sheep wool – a natural animal by-product (Category 3 in accordance with EC Regulation 1069/2009). No artificial fertilisers, compost, or chemical substances are added. Thanks to their high organic matter content, the pellets actively contribute to humus formation, aeration, and the biological balance of the soil.

Application and usage instructions for sheep wool fertiliser

Sheep Wool Pellets should preferably be applied directly beneath or around the root zone of the plant. Work the pellets into the soil and cover with at least 5 cm of soil or substrate to ensure optimal moisture absorption and effectiveness. The release of nutrients is accelerated by natural rainfall or irrigation after application. Ideal for use during planting, (re)potting, or in the early growth stages of crops. The fertiliser is suitable for use in open ground, pots, containers, and around the bases of trees.

Important for professional use: due to their fibrous, lightweight, and irregular structure, the pellets are not suitable for fertiliser spreaders with rotating shafts. For mechanical application, the use of a pendulum spreader or disc spreader with a coarse setting is recommended. Manual application remains the most precise method, especially for targeted fertilisation.

When used on agriculturally cultivated plots, direct incorporation into the soil is required. In case of doubt, refer to fertilisation recommendations based on a current soil analysis.

Dosage for vegetables/plants/trees

  • Vegetable cultivation (according to need): 10–50 g per plant

  • Fruit and ornamental trees: 70–140 g per tree

  • Potted and container plants: 10 g per litre of potting soil

  • General use (open ground): ±100 g/m²

  • For 100 kg of nitrogen per hectare: approx. 955 kg of pellets /ha

Application period

Toepasbaar van maart tot oktober op alle bodemtypes

  • Applicable from March to October on all soil types

  • June/July – flowering and fruit development

  • September/October – autumn feeding and soil improvement

Storage

Sheep Wool Pellets should be stored in a dry, cool place, preferably in a well-ventilated area, out of direct sunlight. Reseal the packaging carefully after opening to prevent moisture absorption and loss of quality. When stored correctly, the product will remain effective and structurally stable for several years. Avoid excessive handling or shaking of the packaging, as this may increase the formation of dust particles. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
