Organifer Leaf Diseases Capsules are developed to support plants that are sensitive to leaf diseases and fungal pressure, including powdery mildew, downy mildew, rust, leaf spot disease, blackspot and other common leaf fungi.

The capsules are placed directly in the soil near the roots of the plant. Their ingredients are gradually released into the root zone, where they support the plant’s natural restorative capacity, vitality and resilience.

A strong and well-balanced plant is better able to cope with external influences and is less susceptible to leaf disease pressure.

Organifer Leaf Diseases Capsules can be used for indoor plants, potted plants, ornamental plants, vegetable gardens, greenhouses, terraces and balconies.

The capsules are especially convenient because they are applied directly at the roots and do not require spraying.

Application

Organifer Leaf Diseases Capsules can be used preventively from the beginning of active plant growth, especially where leaf diseases have caused problems in previous seasons.

They can also be applied when symptoms of leaf disease are already visible.

The capsules support the plant from the root zone and help strengthen its natural resilience.

The effect lasts for approximately 4 weeks. Repeat the treatment every four weeks when necessary.

Dosage

Dosage for potted plants

Make a small hole approximately 5 cm deep in the soil near the roots of the plant.

Insert the capsule into the hole, add some water and close the hole properly with potting soil.

Use:

1 capsule per 5 litres of pot volume

Examples:

  • 5 litre pot – 1 capsule

  • 10 litre pot – 2 capsules

  • 20 litre pot – 4 capsules

  • 30 litre pot – 6 capsules

Repeat after approximately 4 weeks when necessary.

Dosage for garden plants

Make a hole approximately 10 cm deep near the root zone.

Insert the recommended number of capsules, add some water and close the hole properly with soil.

For larger plants, distribute the capsules around the root zone rather than placing them all in one location.

Where possible, place the capsules approximately 25 cm apart around the plant.

Because the current capsules are smaller than the previous version, the recommended garden dosage is approximately double the previous number of capsules.

Plant height / Number of capsules near the roots

  • 50 cm – 2 capsules

  • 100 cm – 4 capsules

  • 150 cm – 6 capsules

  • 200 cm – 8 capsules

  • 250 cm – 10 capsules

  • 300 cm – 14 capsules

  • 350 cm – 18 capsules

  • 400 cm – 20 capsules

  • 450 cm – 24 capsules

Repeat the treatment after approximately 4 weeks when necessary.

Background Information

Powdery Mildew

Powdery mildew is recognised by a white, powder-like coating on leaves and sometimes stems. It often develops during warm conditions and can weaken the plant by reducing healthy leaf growth.

Affected leaves may become distorted, discoloured or dry over time.

Downy Mildew

Downy mildew develops within the leaf tissue and is therefore different from powdery mildew.

It can cause yellow or discoloured areas on the upper leaf surface, while fungal growth may develop underneath the leaves.

Warm and humid conditions can encourage its development and spread.

Rust

Rust is recognised by yellow, orange, brown or reddish spots or pustules on leaves.

It can weaken the plant when infections become severe and is particularly common during humid conditions.

Alternaria

Alternaria is a group of fungi that can cause dark spots and lesions on leaves.

It can affect crops such as tomatoes and potatoes as well as various ornamental plants.

Leaf Spot Disease

Leaf spot diseases can be caused by several different fungi and usually appear as brown, black or discoloured spots on leaves.

When the infection becomes severe, affected leaves may yellow and drop prematurely.

Shot Hole Disease

Shot hole disease is especially associated with plants in the Prunus family, including cherries, ornamental cherries, peaches, plums and apricots.

Initially, small spots appear on the leaves. As the affected tissue dies and falls away, characteristic holes can remain in the leaves.

Grass Leaf Fungi

Fungal pressure in lawns can result in brown or yellow patches, discoloured grass blades or darker fungal growth around the grass tips.

Such problems are particularly common during periods of high humidity and mild temperatures.

Blackspot

Blackspot is commonly seen on roses and is recognised by dark brown or black spots on the leaves.

In severe cases, affected leaves can turn yellow and fall prematurely, weakening the plant.
