Organifer Tillandsias Liquid Fertiliser is specifically suited to the unique growth habits of Tillandsias, also known as air plants. Unlike traditional potted plants, Tillandsias absorb water and nutrients directly through their leaves rather than roots. This potassium-focused formulation supports efficient foliar uptake, helping plants develop strong leaf tissue, vibrant colour, and long-term vitality without overstimulating soft growth.

Tillandsias rely almost entirely on their leaf surfaces to absorb nutrition. The balanced liquid formulation ensures rapid nutrient availability during foliar spraying, supporting uniform leaf development and improving the plant’s ability to absorb moisture from the air. This results in healthier, more resilient leaves with improved texture and colour intensity.
Compact Growth and Structural Strength
High potassium levels support firm leaf structure and controlled growth, preventing weak or overstretched leaves. This is especially important for display Tillandsias grown without soil, where structural integrity directly affects appearance and longevity.

Improved Stress Tolerance and Airflow Adaptation
Tillandsias naturally grow in environments with high airflow and fluctuating moisture. The fertiliser supports internal water regulation, helping plants cope with drying cycles between misting and reducing stress caused by temperature changes or indoor conditions.
Suitable for a Wide Range of Tillandsia Species
This liquid fertiliser is suitable for most Tillandsia species, including commonly grown decorative air plants used in terrariums, wall displays, hanging arrangements, and interior design installations. It integrates easily into regular misting routines without disrupting the plant’s natural growth rhythm.
Dosage
Number of applications: 3–5
Start: At early growth
Repeat: Every 2–3 weeks
Foliar spraying: 2–4 ml per 1 litre of water
Fertigation: 1 ml per 1 litre of water
Standard dose: 9–11 L per ha
Tillandsias perform best in very bright, indirect light with excellent airflow. Plants should be misted lightly and allowed to dry completely between applications to prevent rot. Watering frequency can be increased during warmer months and reduced significantly in winter. Standing water should always be avoided, and only fully dry, loose leaves should be removed to maintain plant health and appearance.
Storage
When stored under stable, frost-free conditions and protected from direct sunlight, this liquid fertiliser maintains its quality for an extended period. Closed containers preserve the formulation effectively, while any diluted solution should be used promptly to ensure optimal performance and purity.
