Soil Insects Concentrate is composed of specific herb extracts and serves a preventative role in repelling soil insects. The product supports the natural restorative capacity of plants, offering nurturing, nourishing, and plant-strengthening properties against external influences in the soil and around the roots. Soil Insects Soil Insect Concentrate is of natural and plant-based origin and is safe for humans, animals, and the environment. It is especially suitable for organic gardening. This natural remedy provides a preventative action against the presence of, among others, wireworms (click beetles), soil caterpillars (moths), vine weevil (snout beetles), larvae of jewel and bark beetles, vegetable flies, root borers, symphylans, and other harmful insects in the soil.
Soil Insects Soil Insect Concentrate is absorbed by the roots and leaves of the plant, shrub, or tree, altering the crop's aroma and taste. This is only detectable by insects. As the plant's resistance is increased, it will, in effect, develop its own defence system. The harmful soil insects will then avoid the plant and no longer consume it. Consequently, reproduction will cease, and the population will substantially decrease. In this manner, the nuisance and damage will naturally diminish.

Background Information
The wireworm, or click beetle, is the larva of a beetle from the Elateridae family. The most harmful species are Agriotes lineatus and Agriotes obscurus.
Soil/earth caterpillars (moths) are the caterpillars of moths belonging to the Agrotis genus. Some common species include the turnip moth (Agrotis exclamationis), the heart & dart (Agrotis segetum), and the dark sword-grass (Agrotis ipsilon). The early caterpillar stages live above ground, feeding on young plants. They nibble small holes in leaves, giving the appearance that the plants have been pelted with hailstones.
The vine weevil or grooved snout beetle (Otiorhynchus sulcatus) poses a threat to many ornamental plants, including rhododendron, cyclamen, and azalea, as well as strawberries and other fruit crops. It belongs to the Curculionidae family. Most damage is caused by larvae gnawing at the roots.
Jewel beetles (Buprestidae) often have striking colours and a metallic sheen, hence the name 'jewel beetle'. Almost all species feed on plants.
Bark beetles (Scolytidae) are very harmful, small, cylindrical, black or brown beetles. They live in or behind bark, mainly in coniferous trees.
Root borers: the cabbage moth (Pharmacis lupulina) is very polyphagous. There are reports of damage to many crops, including strawberries, raspberries, and hops. The larvae are up to 35 mm in size, shiny, translucent, and partly transparent. The dark innards are clearly visible. The moth is widespread in Europe.
The symphylan (Scutigerella immaculata) is deemed harmful as they gnaw at young plant roots. They can pose problems primarily in chrysanthemums but also in carnations, roses, various fruiting vegetables, and occasionally in potted plants.
