Balanced Nutrition for Spit Palm (Madagascar Jewel)

Organifer Spit Palm Liquid Fertiliser is specifically formulated to support healthy growth, strong structure, and long-term vitality in Euphorbia leuconeura, commonly known as the Spit Palm or Madagascar Jewel. Although not a true palm, this succulent plant benefits greatly from a potassium-rich 2-1-8 nutrition profile that supports compact growth, firm leaves, and consistent colour in indoor conditions.

Strong Leaf Structure and Compact Growth

The Spit Palm is valued for its upright growth habit and striking white-veined leaves. This liquid fertiliser supports firm leaf tissue and balanced internode development, helping the plant maintain its characteristic compact form. Potassium plays a key role in strengthening leaf structure, reducing softness, and supporting an upright, decorative appearance.

Healthy Root Development and Efficient Uptake

Euphorbia leuconeura thrives in well-drained substrates and relies on efficient root function rather than frequent watering. The fertiliser supports steady root development and improves nutrient uptake, helping the plant cope with periodic drying between waterings. Strong roots also support the plant’s natural self-seeding behaviour without exhausting the parent plant.

Improved Stress Tolerance Indoors

Indoor environments can expose Spit Palms to fluctuating light, temperature changes, and dry air. This formulation supports internal water regulation and cellular strength, improving tolerance to indoor stress factors while maintaining leaf quality and overall vitality.

Support for Vigorous Growth and Colour Intensity

Regular feeding with this liquid fertiliser enhances leaf colour contrast and overall plant health. The potassium-rich composition supports consistent growth without excessive softness, helping leaves retain their decorative veining and glossy finish throughout the growing season.

Suitable for Containers and Indoor Displays

This Spit Palm liquid fertiliser is ideal for container-grown plants in homes, offices, and conservatories. The vinasse-free formulation ensures clean, residue-free feeding, making it suitable for regular indoor use while supporting long-term ornamental quality.

Dosage

Number of applications: 3–5
Start: At early growth
Repeat: Every 2–3 weeks
Foliar spraying: 3–10 ml per 1 litre of water
Fertigation: 0.8–1.5 ml per 1 litre of water
Standard dose: 10–12 L per ha

Spit Palm performs best in bright light, ideally full sun to strong filtered light, which supports compact growth and leaf colour. Water regularly but always ensure excellent drainage, as standing water can damage roots. Allow the substrate to dry slightly between waterings, as this succulent prefers moderate moisture rather than constant wetness. Potassium-rich feeding supports firm leaves and improves overall colour intensity. Use soft or filtered water where possible, as high salt levels can stress the plant. Maintain warm, stable temperatures and protect from cold drafts. Remove old leaves only when fully dry to avoid unnecessary stress, and handle with care due to the plant’s irritating sap.

Storage

When stored under stable, frost-free conditions and protected from direct sunlight, this liquid fertiliser maintains its quality for an extended period. Closed containers preserve the formulation effectively, while any diluted solution should be used promptly to ensure optimal performance and purity.
