Instructions for Use

Organifer Compost Accelerator is suitable for accelerating and improving the composting of garden waste, prunings, and suitable organic kitchen waste. For best results, build the material loosely in layers of approximately 15 to 20 cm. After each layer, evenly spread about two handfuls (approx. 200 grams) of compost accelerator per square metre. Lightly cover with garden soil or mature compost to promote the composting process. For material with a high woody or hard-to-decompose content, the dosage can be increased.

Compost preferably in a sheltered, shaded area. Pre-shred coarse materials and mix well for even decomposition. Keep the material slightly moist at all times. Regular turning accelerates the process and prevents unwanted gas formation. In cases of heavy rain, snow, or extreme heat, it is advisable to cover the compost heap.

Suitable for composting various types of garden waste such as leaves, grass clippings, branches, soil residues, healthy plant material, straw, and manure from cows, poultry, and small animals. Also suitable for kitchen waste such as fruit and vegetable scraps, cut flowers, potato and eggshells, coffee grounds, and tea leaves.

The compost accelerator activates microorganisms and stimulates a fast, natural breakdown. During the composting process, nitrogen is gradually absorbed into stable organic compounds, keeping nitrogen loss through ammonia emissions to a minimum. Phosphate and potassium remain fully available in the final compost and contribute to a balanced composition with high soil value.

Dosage

Application during composting: Sprinkle approximately 35 to 50 grams of compost accelerator per square metre of compost surface.
Layer application: After each layer of about 20 cm in height, apply roughly 200 grams (two handfuls) of compost accelerator per m² evenly.

Suitable for use throughout the entire composting process of garden waste, prunings, and organic kitchen waste.

Storage

Organifer Compost Accelerator can be stored for up to two years without loss of quality if kept in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
